A leading national firm of accountants wanted to promote a survey it had conducted to raise awareness of the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility (LDF) and create a debate around its use. The survey revealed a ‘worrying lack of specific knowledge’ among smaller accountancy firms about the LDF and its advantages for their clients. The study showed nearly a fifth of smaller accountancy firms were entirely unaware of the LDF’s existence, while almost half were unaware of the benefits it could have for their clients. Byfield’s combined knowledge of the professional services sector and the target media led to coverage of the survey in The Daily Telegraph, Accountancy Age, Money Marketing and Which Offshore, as well as a number of leading trade press titles. The resultant media coverage has helped to position our client as thought-leaders in this area and raised further awareness of the issues surrounding the LDF.
