What was your first job?
A window cleaner. I did it for a season, but sold my round when the winter approached.
If someone at a dinner party asks you what you do for a living, what do you say?
I co-run the UK’s best and most professional Legal PR company.
What advice would you offer someone starting out in the industry?
Always be hard working and take the time to learn from both colleagues and clients.
What do you demand in your colleagues?
An attitude that makes them a team player, willing to go the extra mile for colleagues.
If you could change one thing about PR what would it be?
The way it is perceived by those who know nothing about it.
Which column/journalist/commentator is a MUST?
I really enjoy BBC Radio 4’s Broadcasting House on a Sunday morning, with a pot of tea, toast and the papers.
What characteristic do you dislike the most in people?
Disloyalty.
What was the one thing you hated doing at school?
Going.
If you weren't in PR what would you like to do?
I’d like to be back in politics one day, which was always very interesting. Labour needs people like me back now, if it’s not too late...
If you represent Britain in the 2012 Olympics, what sport would it be at?
Well, I’m pretty good at pool, which ought to be an Olympic event. After all, speed walking shouldn’t be there!
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be with and why?
I’ve always admired Martha Lane Fox, who I think is an incredible person.
What's your perfect weekend?
A day-long get together with family and friends with good food and wine.
What hobby would you learn/take up if you had the time?
I’d love to learn horse riding. I rode a few times as a youth and would really like to do it again.
What would be your mastermind subject?
Conservative political scandals 1993-1997
