Byfield is advising America’s biggest class action law firm, Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins, on communications surrounding the legal claim filed in the US against Sir Fred Goodwin and RBS.
The lawsuit is being taken on behalf of the pension funds of two local authorities, Merseyside and North Yorkshire, who are seeking corporate governance improvements and redress running in to the millions for the "massive losses" incurred by the collapse of the RBS share price and the ensuing government rescue.
Byfield's co-founder and Director Richard Elsen is heading the media campaign.
Ms Booth QC, who is better known as Cherie Blair, has been engaged to act as special adviser to the class action.
