Juliet Carey

Juliet is the Group Director at Byfield, with day to day operational responsibility for the team, client management and new business processes. 

Juliet has more than 20 years’ experience of corporate and strategic PR and marketing communications in financial and professional services, working both in house and in agency for clients across the sector.

My experience of working in professional and financial services means I understand well the need to manage clients’ reputations and brands across a range of channels and stakeholders, whilst at the same time supporting them in advancing their business objectives.  Critical to this is a clear understanding of their overarching strategy and culture – in essence, knowing what makes them tick.  I find it deeply rewarding to really get to know a client and earn their trust – with a positive impact I believe, on the in-depth counsel we provide and the results we achieve.

My role at Byfield is to manage and develop the team day to day, making sure that we have the right resources and capabilities to respond with effective solutions to our clients’ needs, as well as to developments in the wider legal and professional services market.  The communications channels we use are constantly changing and fragmenting as social and digital media proliferates, so the team is also constantly learning and updating its knowledge to make sure our communications approach gets the best possible outcomes for our clients.

What won’t ever change is the requirement from the media and other key opinion formers for great content.  This is where I can contribute my in-depth understanding of the industries in which Byfield’s clients operate and the related geo-political and macro-economic issues that affect them, drawing on my many years working for professional and financial services clients operating in the UK, EMEA and around the globe.
