Lorraine Gilbert

Lorraine is Byfield’s Office and Senior HR Manager and has over 10 years’ experience of office administration. She previously managed a volunteer project that placed women suffering domestic violence into refuge.

I’ve previously worked in roles relating to domestic violence so I suppose the nurturing instinct in me is pretty strong. At Byfield, my role is all about ensuring the welfare of the team – whether it is sorting out any IT issues or booking in their holidays, I am the first point of contact for any issues they are experiencing. I also offer human resource support to the team, providing guidance, support and advice on the effective implementation of the strategy, policies, procedures and tools we have to offer within the organisation.

My role helps me to stay focused and up to date on new legislation and to maintain an up-to-date support system and awareness of topical issues.  I enjoy a well organised lifestyle and my role here at Byfield helps me to maintain order and precision.
